In the 1980s, three kids born to local families in Southern California bonded through their love for music. This is how the folk music group, Nickel Creek came to be. Despite releasing two albums, the band caught their big break in 2000 with the release of their self-titled album. In 2007, after dominating the charts, the band took a seven-year hiatus to focus on solo projects. They returned to the music scene when they released their sixth album, A Dotted Line. Throughout their career, Nickel Creek has received multiple accolades, including several Grammy awards.
