About Nicky Jam

Nicky Jam (born Nick Rivera Caminero on March 17, 1981) is an American reggaeton singer and songwriter born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, to a Puerto Rican father and Dominican mother. He moved to Puerto Rico at age ten and began his music career as a teenager, later forming the influential duo Los Cangris alongside Daddy Yankee. After a period of personal struggles he relocated to Medellín, Colombia, where he rebuilt his career with a more melodic, romantic sound. His comeback produced a string of global hits including "El Perdón" with Enrique Iglesias, "Hasta el Amanecer," and "X" with J Balvin. He has won a Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Performance and performed "Live It Up," the official anthem of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, alongside Will Smith and Diplo.
