The Seattle Storm is a professional women’s basketball team that has played in the WNBA ever since they were founded as an expansion franchise in 2000. Glory came quickly, in 2004, when the Storm, in just their second-ever postseason, won the WNBA Finals with a tight 2-1 victory over the Connecticut Sun. The Storm would then go on an impressive if hilariously frustrating run of 5 straight Conference Semifinals losses before getting it right in 2010 and winning another WNBA Championship in a sweep 3-0 over the Atlanta Dream. Sweeping WNBA Finals became a bit of a franchise habit after that, as the Storm repeated the feat in 2018 over the Washington Mystics and in 2020 over the Las Vegas Aces.
