Senses Fail is a rock band that formed in 2001 in Ridgewood, New Jersey. The band has gone through many changes in lineup and Buddy Nielsen, the vocalist, is the only consistent member. They have eight studio albums, one live album, and two extended plays to their name. Their first manager discovered them, booked them for a show, and a record label signed them in 2002. The band’s name comes from Hinduism’s beliefs of not having attachments to anything worldly. Senses Fail built a local fan base at skat parks and clubs before they started recording. Their debut album was released in 2003, at which time their lead singer, Nielsen, was only 18. They participated in the Warped Tour in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2009.
