UB40 is a reggae/pop band from Birmingham, England. They formed in 1978 and have more than 50 singles on the UK charts. Several of the members met in school, even though many of them went to various schools. They have also found fame internationally and were nominated for Best Reggae Album Grammy Awards four times. UB40 has sold over 70 million records throughout their career. They have a diverse ethnic make-up with Irish, Scottish, English, Welsh, Yemeni, and Jamaican members.
