Main Events: Formula 1 (Las Vegas F1 Grand Prix)
Constructed for the first time in 2023, last year the Las Vegas Strip Street Circuit hosted the first Formula 1 Grand Prix race to take place in the city of Las Vegas since 1982 with the 2023 Las Vegas F1 Grand Prix. The brand-new state of the art street track whips drivers through a wild ride around and even along the famous Las Vegas Strip, careening past many of Las Vegas’s biggest, fanciest, and most famous hotels such as Caesars Palace, the Bellagio, and the Sphere. The Las Vegas Strip Street Circuit’s track itself involves 17 corners as well as two long straightaways including one 1.2 mi (1.9 km) stretch down the Las Vegas Strip itself. Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing, the reigning World Champion of Formula 1, won the inaugural Las Vegas F1 Grand Prix in 2023 as just one of his incredible 19 victories that year and will be looking to repeat his success in 2024. Charles Leclerc of Ferrari, however, will be in the mood for some payback, having started last year’s race in pole position but being passed by Verstappen later on.
