The Colosseum at Caesars Palace

Capacity: 4,300

Opened: 2003

For an events center to be named Billboard’s Top Live Entertainment Venue Worldwide since 2005, it must have a magnificent structure and attract world-renowned shows annually. The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is the only venue with this title, and it has lived up to all the high expectations.

The amazing structure that the Colosseum is known for today is the result of a $95 million spending. More than just the beauty, the technology used in the venue lets visitors enjoy an intimate, immersive experience every time they come in for a concert.

Overall, the secret to the auditorium’s success over the years is its location. Las Vegas is often referred to as the Entertainment Capital of the World, and this center is located in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip. After the first couple of shows in the venue were an absolute success, it quickly became the perfect hub for doing residencies and concerts in Vegas.

History of the Colosseum

In 2023, the Colosseum celebrated its 20-year anniversary of being a top entertainment hub in Vegas. The very first residency to be held in the auditorium was Celine Dion’s A New Day residency. What made her residency so spectacular was that she did it at a time when residencies were associated with artists whose careers were dying out. At the peak of her career, she carried out the three-year contract and made Las Vegas a hotspot for concert residencies.

The theater itself was designed by Sceno Plus and constructed by Perini Building Company between 2002 and 2003. Since Celine Dion’s opening residency, the center has hosted hundreds of exciting shows before thousands of attendees.
