The Champions Classic is an annual NCAA Division I men's basketball doubleheader that tips off the college basketball season each November. First held on November 15, 2011, at Madison Square Garden in New York City, the event brings together four of the most storied programs in college basketball history: Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, and Michigan State. Presented by ESPN Events and sponsored by State Farm, the event rotates among neutral site venues across the country each year. The four participating programs have combined for 19 NCAA championships and 37 Final Four appearances. The 2019 edition famously featured all four schools ranked in the top four of both major polls, and the series is scheduled to continue through 2028.
