About Cincinnati Ballet
Cincinnati Ballet is the cornerstone professional ballet company of the Cincinnati region, founded as the Cincinnati Civic Ballet in 1958 and becoming a professional company in 1963. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, the company presents a diverse repertoire of classical masterworks and contemporary world premieres, performing at Cincinnati Music Hall and the Aronoff Center. Under longtime Artistic Director Emerita Victoria Morgan, who led the company for 25 seasons beginning in 1997, Cincinnati Ballet grew significantly in artistic ambition and community reach. Current Artistic Director Cervilio Miguel Amador, a former principal dancer with the company who defected from Cuba to pursue his dance career, assumed the permanent role in December 2024. The company is also home to the Otto M. Budig Academy and operates from its stunning 62,000-square-foot Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance in Walnut Hills.
