Movements are a post-hardcore band that formed in 2015 in Santa Margarita, California. They played just one show in 2015 and got signed to Fearless Records. They put out an EP in 2016 and three albums after that. Their first album got to 190 on the Billboard 200 Charts. The group self-released their first single, “Protection” and then they were asked to open for Have Mercy. After that one local gig, they got a three-record deal. In 2016, they toured with Real Friends and played at skateparks, bowling alleys, and other unconventional locations. Their overall style is part of the emo revival movement and includes spoken word, alternative rock, and post-hardcore. Their lyrical themes include heartbreak, tense parental relationships, anxiety, depression, and other such struggles.
