Scene Queen is the stage name of Hannah Rose Collins, an American singer-songwriter born on May 6, 1997, in Upstate New York, who grew up in suburban Ohio and is now based in Los Angeles. Immersed in early-2000s emo and scene culture through her older sister, she became a devotee of bands like My Chemical Romance, Sleeping with Sirens, and Pierce the Veil. She left the alternative scene around 2015–2016 after feeling it had become misogynistic, and pivoted to pop, R&B, and Latin songwriting before returning under the moniker RØSÉ. She self-released her debut single "Are You Tired?" in 2020, then signed with Hopeless Records in 2021. She is credited with coining the term and genre "bimbocore" — a hyperfeminine, feminist-themed offshoot of metalcore fusing metalcore breakdowns, hyperpop aesthetics, and frank lyrics about sexuality and misogyny in the music industry. Her debut EP Bimbocore was released on April 29, 2022, followed by Bimbocore Vol. 2 (November 10, 2022), which featured the collaboration "Barbie & Ken" with Set It Off. Her debut studio album Hot Singles in Your Area was released on June 28, 2024.
