Don Haskins Center, located in El Paso, Texas, is a versatile arena primarily serving as the home for the UTEP Miners men's and women's basketball teams. Opened in 1977 and initially known as the Special Events Center, it was renamed in 1998 to honor Don Haskins, UTEP's Hall of Fame coach renowned for his progressive decision to start five African-American players in the 1966 NCAA Championship game. Don Haskins Center has hosted significant events, including major concerts by artists like Shakira and Britney Spears, comedy shows, and sporting events, establishing it as the city's premier entertainment venue.
