Known affectionately as the O’Dome by students, the Stephen C. O'Connell Center is the home venue for the Florida Gators basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, swimming, and diving teams. While Florida Gators men’s basketball is often overshadowed by its more famous football team, the Gators b-ballers have actually come into their own in a bit way in the past three decades, becoming regular NCAA March Madness postseason tournament contenders with 5 Final Four appearances since 1994, one of which led to a runner-up finish and two, in 2006 and 2007, that resulted in back to back NCAA titles! The O’Dome also hosts a wide range of public and university events, as well as many large concerts.
