WVU Coliseum Events

Located in the small city of Morgantown, the WVU Coliseum is home to the West Virginia Mountaineers men’s and women’s basketball teams as well as wrestling, volleyball, gymnastics. The West Virginia Mountaineers men’s basketball team has experienced something of a resurgence in recent years on the national stage, appearing 8 times in the Sweet 16 round and twice in the Elite 8 round of the NCAA March Madness postseason tournament since 1998. The  Mountaineers even made it to the Final Four in 2010! Aside from university sports, the WVU Coliseum once hosted concerts but no longer does so, due to the venue’s design being more suited to the acoustics and seating of basketball games than to concerts.
