One of Australia’s most visually appealing venues, the RAC Arena is Perth’s hub for all forms of entertainment and music events. It replaced the Perth Entertainment Center, which was demolished in 2011. Since the venue was erected, it has drawn massive crowds and hosted world-renowned entertainers.
Before the arena management signed a $10m sponsorship deal with the Royal Automobile Club of Western Australia (RAC), the venue was known as Perth Arena. So, you might still know the venue by its former name, not as RAC Arena.
On most days, the RAC arena is a sports venue primarily built for basketball games. It is the home stadium of the Perth Wildcats, an NBL team, and the West Coast Fever, a Super Netball team. The records for the highest attendance in a single game in Australia’s Netball and basketball leagues were set in the RAC Arena.
On days when it is not used for basketball matches or Netball games, it hosts massive indoor concerts with its 15,000 capacity. The auditorium's excellent acoustic design makes it one of the most fitting venues for concerts throughout Australia. The arena has a retractable roof that allows it to easily switch between indoor events and open-air concerts.
VenuesWest, the corporation that operates the Perth Arena, also runs HBF Arena, HBF Stadium, and the Bendat Basketball Center. The unique design work to develop this masterpiece was done by an Australian construction firm, BGC. Since it was built in 2012, it has not undergone any major rebuild, but it has maintained its original, glamorous look.
As one of the leading event venues in Australia, the RAC Arena is usually one of the top spots organizers consider when bringing events to Perth or even Australia generally. Based on this, many of the best concerts in Western Australia have been held in the RAC Arena.
In 2018, when Celine Dion was running her Celine Dion Live 2018 concerts, one of them was hosted by the RAC Arena. Later that same year, Cher also brought a concert in her Here We Go Again Tour down to the RAC Arena. Other industry-leading artists, such as Ed Sheeran, Beyonce, Kiss, Neil Diamond, Billie Eilish, Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Sir Elton John, and Michael Buble, to mention a few, have performed on this stage.
Beyond just music, big games from basketball, tennis, MMA, and Netball tournaments have been held in the RAC Arena. As the venue's publicity keeps increasing, we expect more exciting events to come down to Perth in the coming years. These are the next events that are scheduled to be held in the Arena in 2024.

If you want to get a ticket to any of these events coming up at the RAC Arena, you have to check out the organizers' website for primary tickets. However, if you are looking for an alternative because primary tickets have sold out or are too expensive, you can check out secondary ticket resale sites like TicketX.
TicketX keeps its system so that tickets are cheap for buyers and also sold at profitable rates for ticket owners. If you own a ticket and are looking for where to resell it with no fees attached, you can use this platform. Also, as a buyer looking for secondary tickets at affordable prices, TicketX also has options for you.
The arena styled seating configuration ensures everyone gets a good view of the stage from different angles. However, just as with every other event, the seats closer to the stage cost a bit more. If you don’t mind paying a bit more, you can get a courtside seat to all the action in the RAC Arena.
Check out the seating chart on TicketX to find out where your ticket number will seat you in the Arena. If you want a more visual impression of the venue, you can take the audiovisual tour provided on the RAC Arena website.
One of the reasons for the arena’s success is its prime location in Perth. It is easily accessible, so it has always been well-placed to be the city’s ideal entertainment destination. If you are coming in for a show, you can easily navigate through Perth CBD to get to the Arena with your own car or by public transportation.
If you are coming in with public transportation, the arena is a major link on bus routes and train rails, so you can easily stop where you need to. If your event ticket has a Transperth logo on it, you can even get a free train ride to the venue.
Many visitors prefer to drive in, and they simply use navigation guides to find their way to the arena. If you drive an electric vehicle, there are charging stations to charge your battery before you get on the move again.
There is on-site parking at the RAC Arena.
On event days, parking at the Arena costs a flat fee of $30. On non-event weekdays, it costs $17.00; on weekends, $8.00 and between 6 pm to midnight, $11.00.
No events scheduled at the moment.
