Passafire is an American reggae rock band formed in 2003 in Savannah, Georgia, by vocalist and guitarist Ted Bowne and drummer Nick Kubley while studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). The band's name is inspired by The Wailers' classic album Catch a Fire. Known for blending tight reggae grooves with distorted rock guitar riffs, they have built a loyal following through relentless touring alongside acts such as 311, Rebelution, Matisyahu, and The Wailers. Their 2013 album Vines, released on Easy Star Records, reached number one on the Billboard Top Reggae Albums chart. To date, the band has released eight studio albums, most recently Remember a Time (2023), and continues to be a prominent force in the American reggae rock scene.
