About Big Daddy Weave

Big Daddy Weave is a contemporary Christian band that formed in 1998 in Mobile, Alabama. The group formed at the University of Mobile while Mike Weaver, the lead singer, served as a worship leader. He went to college to study voice and got the group together. After several releases, they toured with Mark Schultz on the “Broken and Beautiful Tour,” then went on to headline their own tour in 2009 with special guest Josh Wilson. Frontman Weaver released an autobiography in 2019 titled I Am Redeemed. The band often tours churches and auditoriums, and most recently released the single, “Let it Begin,” off their upcoming album, which will be their ninth. In addition to their own albums, they have seven music videos, and they often have music placed on the Wow Worship albums. They released a Christmas album, Christ is Come, in 2009, and it hit the fifth spot on the Holiday Albums chart.
