Big Daddy Weave is a contemporary Christian band that formed in 1998 in Mobile, Alabama. They have been signed to various labels over the years, but since 2021, they have been with Curb Records. In 1998, Mike Weaver was a worship leader in Florida, but then he came to the University of Mobile in Alabama to study voice. There, he formed the group, which went on to tour with Mark Shultz in 2006. They headlined their own tours starting in 2009. Weaver also wrote an autobiography in 2019. Sadly, their bassist died of COVID-19 in 2022 at the young age of 42. Their latest release is the single “Let it Begin” in 2024, which teases the release of a new studio album.
