Capacity: 65,000
Main Events: Formula 1 (Miami F1 Grand Prix)
First used in 2022 for the inaugural Miami F1 Grand Prix, the Miami International Autodrome is a temporary race circuit that uses the area usually taken up by the parking lots around Hard Rock Stadium (home of the Miami Dolphins of the NFL and University of Miami Hurricanes of NCAA College Football). The Miami International Autodrome’s circuit is designed to be assembled a few weeks before the Miami F1 Grand Prix and dismantled immediately after. The racetrack itself is 3.363 mi (5.412 km) in length and features 19 corners including sharp turns at Corners 7 and 16, as well as two long straightaways. The first two Miami F1 Grand Prix races at the Miami International Autodrome were both won by Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing, who will be looking for the three-peat in 2024. Because the Miami International Autodrome is a temporary racetrack, it obviously does not generally host events apart from the Miami F1 Grand Prix in May. There is, however, a huge concert taking place nearby featuring Kaskade, Steve Aoki, and Puerto Rican musician Don “The King” Omar on Thurs, May 2 (8 pm) at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Hollywood, Florida. Plenty of other events will also be held around the area during race weekend.
With the Miami F1 Grand Prix being one of just three Formula 1 Grand Prix races to be held in the United States in 2024, huge crowds will be flocking to the Miami International Autodrome for race weekend in early May, with fans coming from all over America and around the world. This should make for a fantastic race day atmosphere, but high ticket demand means that tickets will usually sell out well in advance.
